FOOD
Question: Is the food free?
Answer: Yes, all food is completely free.
Question: Do I need to bring ID?
Answer: No ID or any other documents are required to receive food. No application, and no preregistration.
Question: Do I need to bring my own bag for my groceries?
Answer: Food is usually given away in premade bags or boxes, but you will need to bring a cart or wagon to carry your food home, if you don't have a vehicle.
VOLUNTEERING
Question: How can I apply to become a volunteer?
Answer: Go to the How You Can Help menu tab and register as a volunteer.
Question: How old do you have to be to volunteer?
Answer: 12 years old; all volunteers 12y to 15y must be accompanied by an adult that is at least 18y.
Question: Is food provided such as lunch for the volunteers?
Answer: Unfortunately not at this time, but it may happen in the future. For now, all volunteers must bring their own food.
Question: Do we get paid to volunteer?
Answer: No, volunteers donate their time. Volunteers will be recognized by receiving a certificate after the completion of the time dedicated to volunteering.
Question: Can I earn community service hours/credits through volunteering?
Answer: Yes. You will receive a certificate after volunteer service has been completed.
DONATIONS
Question: Can I claim the donations I give to the organization on my taxes?
Answer: The organization is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization; you will be given a receipt for your donations. The simple answer is yes, but you should always consult with your own tax professional.
